Project 52 --- Week 5 Timer'd family portraits.

Well Michael starts a new preschool next week and we need to bring in a framed family portrait. Oh man, as a photographer I've got hundreds laying around, right? Wrong. It's not often I'm excited to get in front of a camera and we have been holding off having someone else take our family portrait until little miss Jolene gets a little older.

So we set up the studio. Took some test shots the night before and then got them done today. The old fashioned family way. I set the timer and ran to get everyone in place before the lights fired!! Pretty good for two little ones. We'll ok they're not very good but it will work. Really wish I could have trained the dogs to keep Jolene's eyes towards the camera :)

Set up shots.

Project 52 --- Week 4 Mill, Breakfast, and Park.... Oh My!

This week my baby boy turned three years old. Didn't really get any good pictures from his birthday party cause I was having too much fun. We had a great time with just the family this year. We have started going out for breakfast a day a week as our family meal out. It's so much easier then trying to do Dinner with a three year old and a three month old. Last week we tried Arleta Library Cafe and were blown away with how good the breakfast was. If you live in the Portland, Or are please do yourself a favor and get there.

Project 52 --- Week 3 We got outside.... just for a few minutes.

Another great week here in Oregon. The rain stopped long enough for Michael to get out and ride his bike and then promptly start kicking balls. Of course with his helmet on! Trust me he doesn't always wear a helmet. Here are some pictures from Week 3 of Project 52. I can already feel the pressure to explore new ideas and subjects. Which is the whole idea of the project. Enjoy.

Hurry before it starts raining again!

Then the rain came back and I started playing with Michaels toys. This is my Chicco vs Little People set.

STOP!!!

Chicco wins....

Mommy it's cold!

My little angel. We finally got her in the mood to take pictures in her Christmas dress. The funny thing is she pooped four times in this half hour shoot. Probably more then half the shoot was spent on the changing table.

And my fav.

Project 52 Week 2 - Still raining... What do you expect it's Oregon.

Had another great week without even getting outside to shoot for my Project 52. Good thing I have a family that is willing to get in front of the camera every night. Ok well maybe not willing. One night I asked my wife to just get her cute scarf and hat and we'll have some fun with some gel'd background colors. She said, "Right now?". Sure why not! So she fixed her self up real quick and this is the highlights of the evening. PLEASE NOTE: "No children where actually hurt in the taking of these images :)"

Then Saturday my sister in law brought my adorable nieces Amanda and Olivia by for some updated studio shots. Olivia got a awesome Christmas dress this year and as soon as I saw it I was begging them to come by for some pictures.

Amanda looks so grown up.

The sisters together.

The cuzzies got together for literally four shots. Michael wasn't into picture time with them at his house. He wanted to play.

Happy New Year. New Project 52.

Happy New Year to all my clients, friends, and family. 2009 was an amazing year for our family and the business. We met our goals and have set some new ones for 2010. It's going to be another growth year and another busy one at home. 2009 brought my new baby girl Jolene Avery Rosborough. My wonderful son Michael turned two and is the best big brother. They are such joys and I am committed to being the best daddy. That's my number one goal every year.

For 2010 I'm going to do a weekly post of just some random pictures taken that week. These will consist of anything and everything. Last year got so busy that I didn't take hardly any me time with my photography and that has to change. It's a passion not just a job and I am committing myself to my passion again. So some weeks will include favorite client, personal, landscape, and just about any type of photography that sparks my interest.

So here is week 1 of 52

First is of my beautiful wife. She's the sunshine of my life and wanted to capture her as if she was engulfed in the suns glory. It came out great, but how could it not? She's stunning!!

Young love.... These are some good neighbors and a wonderful new bride and groom
