The Portland Upside Newspaper -- Very first issue May 2009

I am proud to be apart of the very first issue of The Portland Upside newspaper. The May 2009 issue can be viewed online and 10,000 copies are being distributed around the Portland area next week.

The newspaper is dedicated to "Positive people, positive stories, positively affecting Portland!" I love the idea and offered up my photography services to help get the newspaper off the ground.

My assignment was to take photos for the Northwest Senior Theatre group. I meet them at there dress rehearsal and was able to capture some really great moments. They are a wonderful group of highly energetic and talented performers. Please see the newspaper article for more information.

I will continue to support this newspaper because I know there are tons of great things going on in the Portland area and love that this paper is dedicated to bringing it into our lives.

The first image is the one featured in the newspaper. And the rest are some of my other favorites.

Yearly outing for the family to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

Well the weather broke a couple weeks ago and Bethany, Michael, and I headed to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon. We go there every year and enjoy it every time. This year we caught an overcast day but the sun poked out for a couple good tulip shots.

Michael wasn't in picture mode on that day but was able to grab one while he wasn't looking. Spring is a great time of year for family portraits so get your session booked today.

Killing the winter blues.

I'm an Oregonian and I can handle the wet/gray/rain. But it's been clear/cold/windy and I'm done with old man winter. My son Michael's hands get way to cold and he doesn't like (ake won't wear gloves) so I've been stuck inside too much.

Luckily I've been keeping busy with Rosborough Photography. I've been doing all the Christ the King School basketball portraits. It was really fun seeing all these new faces and I hope to see them again. I will be donating an item to the Christ the King fundraiser again this year and hope to meet someone new again.

Anyway here are some favorites of little Ben. Isn't he the cutest?
